AeroMind AI is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For GDPR purposes, if you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific rights regarding your personal data as described in this policy.

Information You Provide Directly:

• Account information: name and email address
• Student profile: certificate goal (PPL, CPL, IR), experience level, and weak topic areas
• Study session data: topics studied, quiz answers, scores, and lesson progress
• Communications: messages sent to the AI flight instructor during study sessions
• CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) notes and student assessments, if applicable

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage data: features used, session duration, topics accessed
• Log data: IP address, access times, crash reports

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized AI-driven flight training study sessions tailored to your certificate goal and experience level
• Track your lesson progress, quiz performance, and identify weak areas for targeted improvement
• Enable CFIs to monitor student progress, add notes, and mark exam readiness
• Generate and cache aviation question banks to improve study efficiency
• Create and manage your student or CFI account
• Send service notifications relevant to your training
• Monitor and analyze usage to improve the platform's performance and accuracy
• Comply with legal obligations

Legal Bases (GDPR): We process your data based on: (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract, (c) our legitimate interests, or (d) compliance with legal obligations.

AeroMind AI uses an AI agent ("AeroMind CFI") to conduct interactive flight training lessons. Conversations you have with the AI — including your questions, quiz answers, and study responses — are stored to maintain lesson continuity, track progress, and personalize future study sessions.

AI-generated content is based on FAA-approved publications and materials. We do not use your conversation data to train third-party AI models without your consent.

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data is retained for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide services. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 10).

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

• CFIs and Instructors: If you are enrolled with a CFI on the platform, your study progress, quiz scores, and lesson data are visible to your assigned instructor
• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our App (e.g., AI model providers, hosting) under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of AeroMind AI, our users, or others

If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to countries outside these regions. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, analyze usage, and improve performance. You can control cookie settings through your device or browser settings.

AeroMind AI is intended for student pilots and aviation professionals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based

To exercise any of these rights, use the account deletion feature in the App settings or contact us directly. We will respond within 30 days.

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including your student profile, lesson progress, quiz history, and conversation logs — at any time through the App's Account Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

If you use AeroMind AI downloaded from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain data as described in Apple's own Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Apple's data practices. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
